Nautical ceiling light – Turn off the power at the switch box to the room you will work in. Make sure the power is turned off by testing the light or other devices in the room. Remove the old Globe lamp and remove all light bulbs from the existing fixture. Pull the old luminaire away from the mounting plate and roof by removing the screws. Separate three cables and remove the thread nuts from the wires. Unscrew the mounting plate of the existing fixture.

Install a roof medallion, if the new fitting is smaller than the old one. Nautical ceiling light are available in all shapes and sizes and will cover any damage to the roof and / or around the fixture. Different roof medallions have different installation instructions, please follow the instructions carefully. Attach the new mounting plate to the electrical box inside the ceiling using the supplied screws.
Snip the ends of the ceiling wires with the bite to expose the new wire. To remove protective coating on wires, use cable scrapers remove them until at about 1/2 to 1 inch on wire is exposed. This step allows the old wires to have a good connection to the new nautical ceiling light to connect to. Connect the cables from the fixture to the electric field in the ceiling by twisting the same colored threads together and cover them with the threaded nuts. Attach screws to the holes in the mounting plate using the screws supplied with the new bulb and a screwdriver.nautical ceiling light
